Reported side effects
The most commonly discussed side effects are gastrointestinal (similar to other GLP-1-type drugs), and there are also concerns about low blood sugar (especially in people on diabetes medications), as well as potential gallbladder and pancreas issues.
What gets monitored
The page notes that people with type 2 diabetes taking mazdutide may require clinician-supervised monitoring of appetite, gastric emptying, and glucose levels, particularly when combined with insulin or insulin secretagogues.
