The bench math
Turn a vial, a diluent volume and a target into an honest barrel reading.
Three numbers decide everything: the mass in the vial, the volume of diluent added, and the dose being aimed at. Mass over volume is the concentration. Concentration times the volume of one unit mark is what a single mark on the barrel carries. The draw is the target divided by that.
The part people skip is the last step. Barrels have graduations, so the exact answer is usually not drawable, and the honest report is the delivered dose at the mark you can actually read — not the number you were aiming at.
