SNAP-8
SNAP-8 (acetyl octapeptide-3) is an octapeptide studied in dermal-research models for its effects on neurotransmitter release at the neuromuscular junction.

How it is thought to work
SNAP-8 is a topical skin-care ingredient thought to interfere with the chemical signals that cause facial muscles to contract, which may soften the look of expression lines and wrinkles over time. It is not the same as Botox and works at the skin surface rather than being injected.
Reported side effects
Possible side effects from topical SNAP-8 products include skin irritation, redness, stinging, rash, or allergic reaction, though reactions may be caused by other ingredients in the formula rather than SNAP-8 itself.
Who should avoid it
People with sensitive skin, skin conditions like eczema or rosacea, allergies, or recent cosmetic procedures should talk to a clinician before using products containing SNAP-8.
